GODLEY, TEXAS — Residents of a small Texas town say they are living in fear as a pack of wild dogs roams their streets, driveways, and even front porches.

Neighbors in the Star Ranch subdivision have captured multiple videos showing the dogs moving through the community, often during school drop-off and pick-up times. Families say the problem has been escalating for weeks.

Bruce Moats, a resident, described a frightening encounter when the pack charged at his family.
“We’re getting the kids out of the car, we start hearing barking, and then we see dogs running from that corner, running to our house,” Moats recalled. “My wife rushed my daughter inside the house, my son locked himself in my Tahoe, and I went to the house to retrieve my firearm.”

Moats and other neighbors say they’ve warned city leaders for months, but officials admit they don’t have the resources to capture the animals. The situation has left many families worried for their safety, particularly with children nearby.

City officials have not announced a plan for addressing the issue, leaving residents pressing for urgent action before the situation turns more dangerous.
