אמעריקאנער שליח טאם באראק: ס'נישט דא קיין מלחמה צווישן טערקיי און מדינת ישראל.
U.S. Envoy Tom Barrack moved to quash speculation of an impending conflict between Türkiye and Israel, declaring unequivocally, “Türkiye and Israel will not be at war with each other — it is not going to happen.” His comments came during the 2025 Manama Dialogue, a key regional security conference where Barrack highlighted renewed U.S. diplomatic leverage under President Trump.
Barrack, who serves as the U.S. special envoy for Syria, portrayed the Middle East as entering a new phase of stability shaped by U.S.-led cooperation from the Caspian to the Mediterranean. He credited the Trump administration’s approach — emphasizing “peace through strength” and pragmatic regional engagement — for preventing escalation among historic rivals while fostering new trade and energy corridors.
“Washington’s influence is back,” Barrack said, describing coordinated diplomatic efforts that include de-escalation talks between Israel and Syria, and possible easing of sanctions linked to humanitarian relief. The envoy underscored that the U.S. strategy remains centered on deterring Iran’s malign networks while promoting sovereign cooperation among regional powers.
A longtime Trump associate and businessman, Barrack has reemerged as a central player in the administration’s Middle East framework, following his 2021 acquittal in a federal case over alleged foreign-agent activity. His reappointment reflects the administration’s trust in experienced envoys capable of navigating complex regional dynamics.
Barrack dismissed reports of a secret Türkiye–Israel trade agreement, describing them as “media noise,” while reaffirming both nations’ shared interest in regional stability and economic growth. His message reinforced the administration’s broader argument that American engagement — not withdrawal — is key to preventing crises in the post-Iran deal era.
“President Trump’s Middle East policy isn’t about endless wars or empty statements,” one senior U.S. official said. “It’s about keeping peace through deterrence, alliances, and American leadership — and Barrack’s statement today makes that perfectly clear.”
