Rep. Scott Perry emphasized that Iran cannot be trusted as the world’s top state sponsor of terror, highlighting the need for any nuclear deal to include verifiable measures to prevent funding of proxies such as Hezbollah and Hamas. Speaking in a recent Arutz Sheva interview following his visit to Israel, Perry stressed that verification mechanisms are critical to ensuring Tehran’s compliance.

During his visit, Perry observed that citizens in Israel are treated “with respect and equally,” praising the country’s societal cohesion and democratic values. He also highlighted that support for Israel remains strong and bipartisan in the U.S. Congress, countering narratives that suggest division on foreign policy toward Israel.

Perry’s remarks underscore continued congressional scrutiny of Iran’s nuclear ambitions and the broader threat posed by its proxy networks, reaffirming a commitment to both regional security and the U.S.-Israel partnership.
