President Donald Trump issued one of his strongest warnings yet to Hamas, making clear that the terrorist organization must fully disarm or face serious consequences. Speaking at a press conference at Mar-a-Lago following his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump emphasized that Hamas had already agreed to disarm under a U.S.-brokered ceasefire framework and warned that failure to honor that commitment would not be tolerated.

“If they don't disarm — as they agreed to do, they agreed to it — then there will be hell to pay for them, and we don't want that. We're not looking for that,” President Trump said, underscoring that the administration’s goal remains stability and peace, not escalation.

The warning comes as part of a broader multi-phase Gaza ceasefire plan led by the United States, aimed at ending hostilities while ensuring Israel’s long-term security. Under the framework, Hamas is required in Phase Two to dismantle its weapons stockpiles, underground tunnel networks, and military infrastructure as a prerequisite for a permanent ceasefire. U.S. officials have stressed that disarmament is non-negotiable and central to preventing future attacks on Israeli civilians.

Senior administration figures, including Jared Kushner, are involved in overseeing enforcement mechanisms alongside international monitors. The plan reflects a firm U.S. position that peace cannot coexist with armed terrorist groups operating freely in Gaza. President Trump’s remarks signal that the United States is prepared to hold Hamas accountable if it attempts to delay, defy, or manipulate the terms of the agreement.

By drawing a clear line publicly, President Trump reinforced his administration’s commitment to Israel’s right to defend itself and to a diplomatic solution rooted in strength rather than concessions to terror. The message from Mar-a-Lago was unmistakable: disarmament is the price of peace, and failure to comply will bring consequences Hamas cannot afford.
