Vice President JD Vance reaffirmed the importance of maintaining America’s nuclear readiness during remarks this week, underscoring the administration’s focus on deterrence and strength in the face of expanding arsenals from both Russia and China.

“We have a big arsenal obviously, the Russians have a large nuclear arsenal, the Chinese have a large nuclear arsenal,” Vance stated. “Sometimes you got to test it to make sure it’s functioning and working. We know that it does work properly but you got to keep on top of it.”
