Major Victory for Israel! Syria Intercepts Hundreds of Iranian Drones and Rockets Smuggled for Hezbollah Terrorists

In a significant blow to Iranian-backed terrorism, Syrian authorities intercepted hundreds of drones, rockets, and other weapons hidden inside an oil tanker at the border with Iraq. The shipment was part of an IRGC smuggling operation intended to reach a Syrian port and ultimately supply Hezbollah militants in Lebanon. This successful interception disrupts a critical weapons pipeline that has long threatened regional stability and Israeli security.

The cache reportedly included advanced fiber-optic drones, a stealthy type recently deployed by Hezbollah to bypass Israeli electronic jamming and radar systems during border clashes. Syrian officials stated the operation was orchestrated by Iran's IRGC and was clearly destined for Hezbollah. The move comes under Syria's new post-Assad leadership, which has taken a strong stance against Hezbollah due to the group's previous heavy support for the fallen Assad regime.

This development highlights the ongoing disruption of Iranian supply routes to its terrorist proxies across the region. By acting decisively, the new Syrian government is sending a clear message against destabilizing forces. For Israel and its allies, this interception represents a welcome reduction in immediate threats and a step toward greater security along the northern border.
