MOSCOW — A new kosher café has opened in Moscow, adding another dining option for members of the city's Jewish community and visitors seeking kosher food.

The new establishment, called Kosher Style, opened on Novoslobodskaya Street on Wednesday, September 9, offering a varied menu featuring dishes drawn from several culinary traditions.

The menu includes Uzbek plov alongside borscht, forshmak, hummus, pelmeni and other dishes, giving customers a broad selection beyond traditional Jewish cuisine.

During the opening, Moscow Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar visited the new establishment, toured its kitchen and dining area, and examined the menu. He also presented the owners with a certificate confirming the kashrus of the food served at the café.

The opening adds to the network of kosher restaurants and cafés serving Moscow's Jewish population. Moscow already has kosher establishments connected with Jewish communal institutions and in several areas of the city.
