Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s longstanding position on Israeli–Palestinian peace during his November 18, 2025, meeting with President Trump at the White House, stating that the kingdom wants to join the Abraham Accords but requires a clear path to a two-state solution.

“We want to be part of the Abraham Accords, but we also need a two-state solution,” the Crown Prince said, underscoring the central condition that has shaped Riyadh’s diplomacy for years.

His remarks mirror Saudi Arabia’s consistent precondition for normalizing relations with Israel—a stance that has stalled progress since the 2020 Abraham Accords, which brought the UAE and Bahrain into open ties with Israel. Despite growing regional realignments following the post–October 7, 2023 escalation, Saudi Arabia has maintained that Palestinian statehood and defined borders must be part of any normalization framework.

The White House meeting highlights a renewed phase of U.S.–Saudi engagement, as Washington seeks to expand regional cooperation and Riyadh signals openness to a deal, but only if its core requirement for a viable two-state pathway is addressed.
