Apple CEO Tim Cook has hinted at a possible shift of iPhone production to the United States, citing strong backing from the White House.

“We're getting significant support from the Administration to pull that off. The President has said that he wants more in the United States — and we want more in the United States,” Cook said.

While Apple has long relied on overseas manufacturing, particularly in China, Cook’s remarks suggest that growing political and economic pressure is pushing the company to expand domestic production.

The move would mark a significant change for Apple, potentially creating new U.S. manufacturing jobs and strengthening the country’s tech supply chain resilience. However, experts caution that transitioning iPhone production to the U.S. would be complex, costly, and gradual.

Cook’s comments reflect the broader push by the administration to bring advanced manufacturing back to American soil, particularly in strategic industries like technology and semiconductors.
