Former President Donald Trump has responded sharply following reports that FBI Director Kash Patel uncovered "burn bags" containing thousands of documents related to the bureau’s controversial Trump-Russia investigation from the 2016 campaign. A source told The Post that some of the materials were found in a secret room inside FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Among the documents was reportedly a classified annex to the 2023 John Durham report, which scrutinized the FBI's handling of the now-debunked "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation.

Calling the situation “a scam,” Trump denounced the findings as further proof of what he describes as long-standing corruption within the FBI and Justice Department, particularly related to efforts to undermine his presidency.
