Police in North Yorkshire have arrested a man after he allegedly posted a meme online that authorities say incited racial hatred. The image, shared over the Palestinian flag, read: “**** Palestine, **** Hamas, **** Islam.”

Video circulating online shows officers detaining the suspect under the UK’s Public Order Act. Police confirmed the arrest, saying the post could be classified as content likely to stir up racial or religious hatred.

The incident has sparked debate over free expression, online speech, and the balance between public safety and individual rights in the UK.
