BRITAIN — A group of skydivers experienced a breathtaking sight during a recent jump over the British countryside: a rare full-circle rainbow.

The optical phenomenon, visible only from higher altitudes, was captured as the divers free-fell thousands of feet through the sky.

Instructor Jan Zackl described the moment: “We spent pretty much the whole flight down looking at it. It was very cool and a very special thing to be able to share.”

Unlike rainbows seen from the ground, which usually appear as arcs, the full circle becomes visible only when observed from above. Experts note that such sightings are uncommon, making the skydivers’ experience both extraordinary and scientifically fascinating.

The footage has since circulated online, with viewers calling it “mesmerizing” and “once-in-a-lifetime.”
