U.S. Border Czar Tom D. Homan pledged aggressive action in sanctuary cities, singling out Chicago as a priority target for enforcement operations.

“We’re going to flood the zone in sanctuary cities like Chicago… we’re going to go there and Make Chicago Safe Again,” Homan declared.

His comments come amid ongoing national debate over sanctuary city policies, which limit local cooperation with federal immigration authorities. Supporters argue such policies protect immigrant communities, while critics contend they undermine public safety.

Homan’s remarks signal that federal authorities may intensify operations in Chicago, where violent crime and immigration enforcement remain hotly contested issues.
