A Look Back at the Yomim Noraim and Massive Beis Medrash Expansion

The recent Yomim Noraim brought moments of immense hiskorerus to the thousands of Chassidim who gathered to spend the holy days with the Rebbe Shlit"a. The elevated atmosphere began with the Rebbe conducting a Shulchan Hatahor on Motzei Rosh Hashanah. Throughout the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah, the Rebbe held Kabalas Kahal, receiving the many Yidden who came to seek brachos for the new year. The days between Keseh and Asor continued with the traditional Tashlich and shlagen Kaparos, culminating in a beautiful Shulchan Hatahor on Motzei Yom HaKadosh immediately following the fast.

To accommodate the massive crowds, the Beis Medrash Hagadol was specially prepared with thousands of seats. This year, the tzibur benefited from a major construction project that significantly expanded the building. A brand-new north wing was built and seamlessly incorporated into the main heichal of the Beis Medrash.

Prior to Yom Tov, the Rebbe Shlit"a toured the construction site to inspect the progress of the expansion. In addition to the new north wing, the massive project features a spacious new pruzder (lobby), wider staircases, and other crucial upgrades designed to ease the crowding and provide greater harchavas hadaas for the thousands of mispallelim.
