Skverer Kehillah Hosts Elegant Banquet for "Amudei HaOlam" Yissachar-Zevulun Campaign

An elegant banquet was held on Sunday evening, Parshas Shoftim, welcoming a new group of negidim who have joined the massive "Amudei HaOlam" campaign in Shikun Skver.

This revolutionary initiative allows local baalei batim to double the monthly stipends of the kehillah's bnei Torah. Donors select a personal partner from among the nearly 1,000 avreichim learning in the Skverer kollelim, entering into a formal Yissachar-Zevulun agreement with them.

The maamad was attended by Congressman Mike Lawler, who maintains a close relationship with the Skverer kehillah. Lawler shared fascinating behind-the-scenes details regarding his recent efforts and shtadlanus on behalf of the community. He discussed his ongoing work following the historic asifa held several months ago at the home of the Skverer Rebbe, which was also attended by the Satmar Rebbe and the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Monsey.

The Limanover Rav, Hagaon Harav Yaakov Shlomo Meisels, then addressed the crowd. He passionately praised the heroic initiative of the local businessmen, who took it upon themselves to support the avreichim with the sole purpose of being marbeh Kvod HaTorah.

The uplifting evening concluded with a tremendous display of generosity, as over forty nedivim signed partnership agreements on the spot. Each donor selected a ben Torah to sponsor, securing the zechus of funding their doubled kollel salary.
