A prominent Rebbe paid a visit to HaGaon Rav Moshe Sternbuch at his yeshiva in Beit Shemesh, where the two held a lengthy Torah discussion before the Rebbe made a striking request of the senior posek.

According to footage and a report from the meeting, the Rebbe told Rav Sternbuch: “With the power of your Torah, you can nullify all the decrees.” The remark came during their conversation at the yeshiva, with chassidim and others gathered around the two rabbanim.

Rav Sternbuch, the Gaavad of the Eidah HaChareidis and author of the renowned Teshuvos V’Hanhagos, has for years headed a yeshiva in Beit Shemesh in addition to his broader network of kollelim. Recent reporting says that network has continued to expand, including additional branches in Ramat Beit Shemesh and elsewhere in Eretz Yisroel.
