Rishon LeZion HaRav David Yosef visited New Square on Monday afternoon, where he was welcomed by members of the Skverer community before meeting with the Skverer Rebbe.

Footage from the visit shows the Rishon LeZion arriving in the Chassidish village as local residents gathered to greet him.

During his visit, Rav Yosef met with the Skverer Rebbe at the Rebbe's home. According to the Israel Heritage Foundation, its executive director, Rabbi David Katz, who welcomed Rav Yosef upon his arrival, arranged the meeting between the two. The organization said dozens of Skverer Chassidim came out to honor the visiting Rishon LeZion.

Rav Yosef also visited the Skverer Dayan during his time in New Square, according to local reporting.

The visit comes during Rav Yosef's current stay in the United States and provided New Square residents with an opportunity to welcome the visiting Rishon LeZion to their community.
