More than 600 participants gathered Wednesday at the Ramada Hotel in Yerushalayim for the fourth annual Yarchei Kallah organized by Achvas Torah, dedicating the day to Torah learning and preparation ahead of Yom Kippur.

The annual gathering is geared toward working Charedim, providing participants with an opportunity to step away from their regular work and business schedules and spend the day immersed in a beis-medrash atmosphere.

Rather than being centered solely around speeches, the program places an emphasis on active learning, with participants joining learning groups, studying b'chavrusa and taking part in sessions covering a range of Torah subjects. Shiurim and discussions with rabbanim are also included throughout the program.

Footage from Wednesday's gathering showed Rav Aharon Butbul delivering a shiur before participants assembled at the event. Current photographs from the gathering also document Rav Butbul among the rabbanim participating in the day's program.

The Yarchei Kallah has grown considerably since its launch. The inaugural gathering in 2023 drew more than 200 participants; organizers and current coverage report that this year's fourth gathering has drawn more than 600.

The program comes during the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah, with the gathering designed to give participants a full day devoted to Torah, learning and spiritual preparation in the days leading up to Yom Kippur.
