Williamsburg Chaveirim celebrated the opening of its new headquarters in Brooklyn this week, marking a significant expansion for the volunteer organization that provides around-the-clock assistance to members of the community.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new state-of-the-art facility on Lorimer Street in Williamsburg, with Chaveirim members, community leaders and other guests gathering to mark the opening. Contemporary footage from the event confirms the new facility and its location.

Rabbi Moshe Indig congratulated Williamsburg Chaveirim on the new headquarters, praising the organization's volunteers for their continued dedication to the community.

Chaveirim provides volunteer assistance for emergencies and everyday situations ranging from roadside problems and lockouts to storm response and other community needs. The broader Brooklyn organization says its network includes hundreds of volunteer members and handles tens of thousands of calls annually, with Williamsburg among the neighborhoods it serves.

The Williamsburg division has also expanded its emergency-preparedness efforts. Earlier this year, its members participated in a joint training session with members of the Kiryas Joel Fire Department covering fires, gas emergencies, carbon monoxide incidents and evacuation procedures.

The opening gives Williamsburg Chaveirim a new dedicated base for its continuing operations and volunteer response work in one of New York's largest Haredi communities.
