Gallery
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani visited sukkahs in several Jewish neighborhoods during Sukkos, meeting community members and taking part in gatherings marking the Yom Tov.
Among the stops was Williamsburg, where Mamdani visited a sukkah together with members of the local Chassidish community and representatives of the United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg and North Brooklyn.
Photos from the visit showed the mayor speaking with community members inside the sukkah and participating in the gathering during Chol Hamoed.
Mamdani also made Sukkos visits in Crown Heights, where he met members of the local Jewish community in their sukkahs.
The visits came during Mamdani's first Sukkos as mayor of New York City and were part of his outreach to Jewish communities across the city during the Yom Tov.
