It started with a suspicious call to the Pearland Police Department in Texas, a masked man was reportedly using multiple credit cards to pull large sums of cash from an ATM. By the time officers arrived, two men were already speeding away in a white GMC Sierra, but the department's Drone First Responder system picked up the truck and kept eyes on it as the pursuit unfolded. As officers closed in, the men inside began hurling stacks of cash out the window, sending bills scattering across the street behind them in what looked like a desperate attempt to get rid of the money before getting caught. Officers eventually forced the truck to stop and took both men into custody, identifying them as Tarvares Givens and driver Levon Steven Jr., both from Florida. Givens was charged with failure to identify, while Steven faces charges of evading arrest and tampering with evidence. Police say they recovered $6,000 in cash scattered along the street, money they believe the pair tossed in a last-ditch effort to distance themselves from the crime.
