Scenes of simcha unfolded aboard a flight carrying Jewish travelers back to Eretz Yisroel following Rosh Hashanah in Uman, as passengers celebrated the completion of their long journey home.

Footage circulating Tuesday shows passengers singing and dancing in the aircraft cabin following their arrival in Eretz Yisroel.

The scenes come amid the large-scale return from Uman following Rosh Hashanah, with tens of thousands of mispallelim making their way out of Ukraine through airports in neighboring countries.

Because Ukraine's civilian airspace remains closed, travelers returning from Uman have been making lengthy overland journeys to airports in Moldova, Romania and other neighboring countries before flying onward. Chisinau Airport introduced temporary restrictions through September 17 specifically because of the sharp increase in passenger traffic following the conclusion of the Uman gathering.

Iași Airport in Romania has also been handling significant Uman traffic, with more than 8,000 travelers expected to pass through the airport and 25 flights to Tel Aviv scheduled between September 14 and 16.
