A heartbreaking and tearful message was heard on the Maareches Vizhnitz hotline from the Rebbe’s son, Harav HaTzaddik Rav Yaakov Mordechai, pleading with the tzibbur to daven for his father.
He shared that the Rebbe's condition is "very far from good," noting that he has been undergoing agonizing treatments for nearly two years, and doctors unfortunately do not see an end in sight.
In response to the situation, the Vizhnitzer Beis Din issued a directive for all Chassidim to recite the fourth sefer of Tehillim on Friday night.
On Shabbos morning, after receiving an aliyah, the Belzer Rebbe Shlit"a requested a special Mi Shebeirach for the refuah sheleimah of his brother-in-law, Rav Yisroel ben Leah Esther.
Meanwhile, the Vizhnitzer Rebbe sent his son, Harav HaTzaddik Rav Chaim Meir, along with his gabbai, Reb Bentzion Stainger, to spend Shabbos in Meron b'tzel his cousin, the Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe.
During Shalosh Seudos, the Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe was meorer the tzibbur to daven for his uncle's refuah, stating that "the dor needs him." Motzei Shabbos, the Rebbe went to daven at the tzion of the Rashbi, followed by a scheduled hadlakah together with the Mashpia, Rav Elimelech Biderman Shlit"a.
