Footage from the gathering shows older Chassidim joining together in an energetic dance, while another participant sits down at the piano and accompanies the celebration.

The dancing followed a packed night at Moscow's central synagogue, where hundreds gathered on Motzei Shabbos for a Chassidic farbrengen followed by the first Selichos of the season.

The gathering comes as the Moscow Jewish community prepares for a busy Tishrei. Marina Roscha recently underwent extensive renovations and upgrades ahead of the Yomim Noraim, with thousands expected to pass through the synagogue during the coming weeks.
