Israeli Arab lawyer and activist Reda Jaber delivered a scathing critique of Israel's historical government policy, declaring that "for years, as a matter of policy, the Israeli state didn't care about Arab society" despite allowing individual Arabs to succeed within Israeli society. Jaber, who served as director of the Arab Center for Safe Society, emphasized that while individual Arabs can thrive, state investment in helping the Arab community as a whole succeed has been dangerously low.

The activist, who frequently addresses crime surges, violence, and governance challenges in Israel's Arab sector that comprises over 20% of the population, highlighted the systemic neglect that has plagued Arab communities for decades. Jaber's words underscore the urgent need for targeted government investment to address the stark gap between individual opportunities and community-wide support, calling for policies that lift the entire Arab sector rather than just isolated individuals.
