Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stark warning on Tuesday from the Tel Nof Airbase, stating that Israel has indications its enemies may attempt attacks ahead of the upcoming elections. Standing alongside pilots and ground crews, he delivered a direct message: “Don’t mess with us. Our long arm will reach you anywhere, at any time.” Netanyahu emphasized that the military continues constant operations across multiple fronts and highlighted recent successes, including the elimination of the terrorist involved in the abduction of Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or. He also noted that the commander of Hamas’s Northern Gaza Brigade was eliminated the previous night and that more than 100 terrorists have been taken out in Gaza alone in recent weeks. The prime minister referenced ongoing activity in Lebanon, specifically recalling operations at the Ali Taher Ridge. He framed these actions as part of broader efforts to maintain hard-won gains despite what he described as intense pressure to withdraw.

Netanyahu stressed that he would not permit any retreat from the achievements secured by Israeli forces, portraying the current period as one of both significant military progress and external political strain. The timing of the remarks, roughly one month before the scheduled Knesset elections, has drawn scrutiny from opposition figures who have called for verification that the threat is genuine rather than politically motivated. The prime minister did not specify which adversaries or the precise nature of the intelligence behind the warning. By speaking from an active air force base and invoking Israel’s long-range strike capabilities, he sought to project resolve and deter potential aggression during a sensitive domestic period. The statement aligns with recent IDF announcements of targeted eliminations in Gaza and continued operations in southern Lebanon. Officials and the public will closely monitor whether the warning is followed by concrete security developments in the weeks leading up to the vote.
