The Houthis are not letting up. Another missile was fired toward Riyadh overnight, just days after weekend strikes on King Khalid International Airport left 14 people dead, including one American, and hundreds more wounded. Footage from the scene shows smoke-filled terminals and passengers running for safety, while the airport remains closed and Saudi officials dig into how their air defenses let the barrage through. The group is now promising more attacks and warning foreign airlines to stay out of Saudi airspace, a threat that could shut the kingdom's skies down even further.

All eyes are now on Washington. President Trump called the airport attack "not acceptable," confirmed he has spoken with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and said the US may join strikes against the group, a notable shift after he reportedly turned down the crown prince's appeals for help last month. The Houthis have already fired back with a warning of a "swift and painful" response against American interests if the US gets involved. For a region that hoped the fighting had cooled after earlier de-escalation efforts, the message is blunt: Yemen's war is back, and it's now landing on one of the Middle East's busiest airports. Whether Washington pulls the trigger is the question everyone is asking next.
