The Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition (FJCC) convened a meeting Tuesday morning with Bruce Blakeman, the Nassau County Executive and a Republican candidate in the 2026 New York gubernatorial race, at Khal Bnei Avrohom Yaakov on Avenue N. The gathering brought together local Askonim, community leaders, and other representatives for a discussion with Blakeman ahead of the upcoming election.
Blakeman, who became Nassau County's first Jewish county executive after his 2021 election, has built relationships with Orthodox communities across the New York region during his tenure leading the county. The FJCC has a long history of convening similar forums with elected officials and candidates across all levels of government, positioning itself as a channel between Flatbush's Orthodox community and New York political leadership.
