The U.S. State Department has announced new sanctions that deny entry visas to members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Palestinian Authority (PA) officials.

“These actions reflect our national security interests and our commitment to holding the PLO and PA accountable for undermining the prospects for peace,” said Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott during a briefing with reporters.

The move underscores Washington’s growing frustration with Palestinian leadership amid ongoing instability in the region.
