The delegation of Gedolei Yisroel traveling on behalf of Keren Olam HaTorah arrived in Panama, beginning the latest stage of an international mission aimed at strengthening support for yeshivos and kollelim in Eretz Yisroel.

Members of Panama's Jewish community came to the airport during the overnight hours to welcome the visiting Rabbanim upon their arrival, according to footage from the scene.

The Panama stop follows an intensive visit to Mexico City, where the delegation participated in tefillos, meetings with local supporters and a major gathering at the Magen David synagogue attended by thousands. Reporting from the Mexico leg identified Panama as the delegation's next destination.

Among the Gedolei Torah participating in the broader mission are Rav Yaakov Hillel, Rosh Yeshivas Ahavat Shalom; Rav Avraham Salim, Rosh Yeshivas Meor HaTorah; Rav Shimon Galai; Rav Yosef Chevroni, Rosh Yeshivas Chevron; and Rav Malkiel Kotler, Rosh Yeshiva of Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood.

Keren Olam HaTorah's official mission page now lists Panama as the latest stop in the campaign, following the delegation's Aug. 23 arrival in Mexico.

The mission is part of the continuing effort by Gedolei Yisroel to secure financial support for the Olam HaTorah in Eretz Yisroel amid severe funding pressures on yeshivos and kollelim.

Keren Olam HaTorah has organized a series of international missions in recent years, bringing leading Roshei Yeshiva and Rabbanim to Jewish communities around the world. Earlier this year, delegations traveled through Argentina, Brazil and numerous communities across the United States to rally support for lomdei Torah.

The Panama arrival marks the beginning of the delegation's latest series of meetings and communal engagements, with further developments expected as the visit proceeds.
