SpaceX successfully launched 25 Starlink V2 Mini satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 6:17 a.m. PST, marking a significant milestone for the company’s global broadband initiative. The mission, designated Starlink 17-26, was captured in video footage showing the Falcon 9 rocket igniting and ascending through thick coastal fog, highlighting the dramatic spectacle of liftoff.

This launch includes the 500th Starlink satellite deployed in 2026 alone, bringing the constellation close to 10,000 operational spacecraft. The expanded network is designed to provide high-speed broadband access worldwide, including to remote and underserved areas, supporting SpaceX’s goal of global connectivity and reinforcing its position as a leader in commercial space operations.

The Falcon 9 rocket, known for its reusability and precision, successfully placed all 25 satellites into their intended orbits. This mission further demonstrates SpaceX’s capability for rapid, frequent launches and underscores the scalability of the Starlink system. Each deployment contributes to improved coverage, redundancy, and service reliability for users across the globe.

As Starlink continues to grow, the constellation’s expansion represents a transformative step in satellite broadband infrastructure, offering enhanced connectivity for governments, businesses, and individuals. The successful Starlink 17-26 launch exemplifies SpaceX’s ongoing commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and the vision of a fully connected world.
