Members of the Great Neck Jewish community gathered at Great Neck Synagogue on Motzei Shabbos for a special late-night Selichos program led by Chazzan Yitzy Spinner, as preparations for the approaching Yamim Noraim entered their final days.

The Selichos gathering began late Saturday night, September 5, and continued into the early hours of Sunday morning. Great Neck Synagogue had scheduled the program from 10:30 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.

Video from the gathering shows Spinner leading the tefillos with music as members of the community joined together in the shul.

Spinner serves as Chazzan of Great Neck Synagogue and has performed Jewish music and led tefillah for communities around the world.

The gathering came as Jewish communities began the final stretch of preparation for Rosh Hashanah, with Selichos and tefillah taking on an increased place in the days leading into the Yamim Noraim.
