Historic and Emotional Bar Mitzvah Celebrated in Williamsburg for Boy Rescued from Lev Tahor

Last night, Williamsburg hosted a historic and deeply emotional simcha as the community celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of Habachur Elimelech Weingarten, a precious young man who, b’chasdei Hashem, was rescued from the Lev Tahor cult.

The Bar Mitzvah bachur, a scion of prominent Rabbinic lineage, is a talmid at Talmud Torah Toldos Refael Kasho in Williamsburg. The simcha was graced by the presence of his esteemed grandfathers, the Toldos Refael Kasho Rebbe Shlit"a and the Tertzal - Kiryas Kasho Rav Shlit"a.

A massive crowd of family members, askanim, and prominent philanthropists joined the celebration. These dedicated individuals, who spared no expense and devoted limitless resources to rescue these children, rejoiced in the monumental simcha, thanking the Eibershter for the boy's personal redemption from slavery to freedom.

The dais was adorned by the devoted grandfathers and great-uncles, alongside a distinguished array of Rabbanim. Among those in attendance were the Khal Adas Kasho Rebbe Shlit"a; the Kasho Rebbe Shlit"a (an uncle on both sides of the family); the Paya Rav and Rosh Beis Din of Satmar Shlit"a; the Vitka Rav and Skulen Dayan Shlit"a; the Bagad Rav Shlit"a; Harav Ezra Moshe Chira Shlit"a, Dayan of Satmar; the Krali Rav Shlit"a; and numerous other Admorim and Rabbanim who have dedicated themselves heart and soul to the welfare of these children.

A deeply emotional highlight of the evening was the address delivered by the grandfather, the Toldos Refael Kasho Rebbe Shlit"a. Choking back tears, the Rebbe spoke from the heart, expressing profound hakaras hatov to the Ribbono Shel Olam for His tremendous chasadim. He warmly thanked and bentshed all the participants and askanim, expressing special gratitude to Harav Avraham Greenhut, Harav Yoel Greenbaum, and Harav Yoel Yehoshua Heshil Blum for their tireless, lifesaving efforts.
