The Israeli military says it carried out two separate strikes in Gaza over the past day, targeting operatives it accuses of rebuilding militant capabilities and violating the ceasefire. The first hit a meeting of Hamas Nukhba operatives in Gaza City, killing Ma'ad Mazen Hamza Hassona and Mohammed Riad Hadar Arhim, both identified as members of the group's military wing. A second strike in the Draj Tufah area of northern Gaza eliminated Mohammed Walid Sa'adi Nahala, described as a commander in Palestinian Islamic Jihad's anti-tank array. The IDF says all three men were actively working to restore militant infrastructure and posed a direct threat to Israeli forces and civilians.

According to the military, both strikes were carried out with precision munitions following aerial surveillance meant to reduce the risk to civilians in the area. The IDF framed the operation as a direct response to what it called systematic ceasefire violations, saying the targeted men were rebuilding capabilities for Hamas and Islamic Jihad despite the current truce. Forces under the IDF's Southern Command remain deployed in Gaza in line with the ceasefire agreement, with the military saying it will continue acting against what it considers immediate threats. The strikes add to a string of similar incidents in recent months as Israel accuses Gaza-based militant groups of using the pause in fighting to regroup and rearm.
