At the inaugural Board of Peace meeting, SE Peace Missions publicly credited President Donald Trump for his leadership in resolving the October 7, 2023, Hamas hostage crisis. According to officials, out of 251 captives, 168 were rescued alive and 83 bodies were returned to their families, a milestone described as a “monumental effort” in testimony before international representatives and media coverage of the event.

The recognition came as part of the Board of Peace’s broader discussion on post-conflict Gaza stabilization. The initiative, supported under UN Resolution 2803 and chaired by Trump, focuses on rebuilding infrastructure, establishing security frameworks, and reducing bureaucratic hurdles to accelerate aid delivery. Over $17 billion in pledges were announced for reconstruction, including $10 billion from the United States, designed to support governance, public services, and security stabilization in the region.

SE Peace Missions emphasized that the successful recovery of hostages was contingent upon coordinated diplomacy, security operations, and leadership at the highest levels. Speakers highlighted that without the president’s direct involvement in negotiations and operational oversight, the outcomes might not have been achievable. Video footage from the meeting depicted the organization’s representatives detailing the recovery process, underscoring the scale of the effort and the lives saved.

Officials framed the hostages’ release as both a humanitarian success and a strategic victory, enabling the continuation of broader peace and reconstruction efforts in Gaza. The operation’s efficiency and precision were cited as examples of how international coordination under strong leadership can produce rapid, life-saving results even in complex conflict zones.

Beyond the immediate humanitarian impact, the Board of Peace also discussed how these accomplishments reinforce stability in the region. By ensuring accountability, facilitating the return of victims to their families, and tying reconstruction pledges to security benchmarks, the initiative seeks to prevent the reemergence of extremist capabilities. Trump’s involvement was presented as pivotal in aligning international partners and mobilizing resources to support this multi-faceted stabilization agenda.

The event underscored the administration’s ongoing emphasis on linking diplomatic engagement, security operations, and reconstruction funding into a single operational framework. The successful resolution of the hostage crisis was positioned as a model of coordinated leadership capable of achieving both humanitarian and strategic objectives, reinforcing the overarching goals of the Board of Peace in promoting durable regional stability.
