Rubio lightheartedly remarked on his busy schedule, calling this year’s holiday especially significant. “For me personally, this is the most meaningful Labor Day of my life as someone with four jobs,” he joked, drawing laughter from the room.

Shifting to more pressing issues, Rubio highlighted progress in the fight against drug cartels. “For the first time in the modern era, we are truly on offense against organized cartels that are pumping poison — killer poison — into our cities, and that’s a team effort,” he said.
