Trump Blasts Biden for Emptying US Munitions Stockpiles With $300B Ukraine Giveaway

President Donald Trump delivered a sharp critique of the previous administration’s handling of American military readiness during a recent interview with Wayne Allyn Root. Trump stated that when he left office the nation’s munitions stockpiles were full, but the Biden administration subsequently transferred roughly $300 billion worth of munitions and equipment to Ukraine. He argued this policy emptied the cupboards and left the United States needing to rebuild its inventories under more challenging conditions. The president emphasized that his current administration is now replenishing those stockpiles at record speed.

Trump noted that while the United States continues to support Ukraine in certain ways, the approach has changed significantly. Under his leadership, Europe is expected to pay full price for American weapons and munitions rather than receiving large volumes of free transfers drawn directly from U.S. stocks. He contrasted this with what he described as the previous administration’s unrestricted giveaways that depleted critical reserves. The president stressed that America is fine with its current munitions levels and is actively expanding production to meet both existing and potential future needs.

The comments come amid ongoing discussions about U.S. military readiness, particularly following periods of high operational tempo. Trump’s remarks highlight his administration’s focus on restoring and modernizing the nation’s defense industrial base after what he portrays as years of underinvestment and excessive transfers. By prioritizing rapid replenishment and smarter burden-sharing with allies, the president presented a clear contrast with the policies of his predecessor and signaled continued investment in American strength.
