CHEVRON — Tzfas Mayor Yossi Kakon was seen spending time in learning and tefillah at Me’aras HaMachpelah in Chevron during the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah.

A photo shared from the visit shows Kakon seated with a sefer inside the holy site during the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, as Yidden devote additional time to tefillah and teshuvah ahead of Yom Kippur.

Kakon has served as mayor of Tzfas since 2024. Official municipal records identify him as the city's current mayor.
