Israeli defense giant Elbit Systems is turning heads at the Marrakech Air Show, pulling back the curtain on its PULS rocket artillery system in front of military buyers from around the world. The modular launcher can fire a range of guided rockets and missiles, with some variants capable of striking targets up to 300 kilometers away, making it one of the most versatile precision-strike platforms on the market today. It is Elbit's first time exhibiting at the Moroccan show, running October 7 to 10 on a Royal Moroccan Air Force base, and the company is not holding back, also bringing its Hermes 900 drone and a lineup of autonomous platforms to the floor.
The high-profile showcase lands at a moment when defense ties between Israel and Morocco are rapidly deepening, with Rabat already linked to past purchases of Elbit hardware, including howitzers and guided rockets. Israeli reporting has tied the PULS system specifically to a reported 150 million dollar contract with an undisclosed client, fueling speculation that the kingdom itself may be a customer, though officials on both sides have not confirmed the deal. The Marrakech event has drawn nearly 200 exhibitors from 27 countries this year, underscoring Morocco's growing ambition to move from arms buyer to arms maker, and Elbit's debut appearance signals just how far Israeli defense firms are pushing to secure a foothold in that expanding North African market.
