Thousands gathered on Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights on Sunday night for the annual Simchas Beis Hashoeva, continuing to dance despite the rain that fell over the neighborhood.

The celebration continued late into the night, as large crowds filled the streets for music and dancing during Chol Hamoed Sukkos. Current-event coverage and photos confirm that the opening night continued through the rain. COLlive

The first night featured live music and performances by Eli Marcus, Joey Newcomb, Berel Zucker, the Mendy Kraus Band and Yossi Cohen. The Crown Heights Simchas Beis Hashoeva is scheduled to continue nightly throughout Chol Hamoed.
