President Donald Trump reaffirmed his commitment to expanding the Abraham Accords, calling them one of the most significant diplomatic achievements in modern Middle East history and predicting that additional countries, including Saudi Arabia, will formally join in the future.

Speaking publicly, Trump praised the accords as a breakthrough that reshaped regional dynamics by normalizing relations between Israel and key Arab states. “The Abraham Accords are great… it was one of the great achievements. They’ll be expanded,” Trump said, emphasizing that momentum remains strong years after the agreements were first signed during his presidency.

Trump highlighted Saudi Arabia’s constructive role in regional affairs, signaling confidence that Riyadh’s eventual participation is a matter of timing rather than intent. “Saudi Arabia’s been very good as far as I’m concerned… and at some point, they’ll sign the Abraham Accords,” he added, reinforcing long-standing speculation about a future normalization agreement between Israel and the kingdom.

Originally brokered in 2020 by the Trump administration, with Jared Kushner playing a central role, the Abraham Accords normalized diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab nations, including the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The agreements marked a decisive shift away from decades of hostility, opening the door to expanded trade, security cooperation, tourism, and intelligence sharing across the region.

Supporters credit the accords with reducing the likelihood of large-scale regional conflict and strengthening a coalition of U.S.-aligned states to counter shared threats such as Iranian expansionism and extremist violence. Trump’s renewed push signals an intent to build on that framework, positioning normalization not as a one-time achievement but as an evolving strategy for long-term stability.

By projecting confidence in Saudi Arabia’s eventual participation, Trump underscored his broader vision of a Middle East defined less by ideological conflict and more by pragmatic cooperation, anchored by strong U.S. leadership and an unambiguous commitment to Israel’s security.
