LAKEWOOD, N.J. — A large crowd of yeshiva bochurim gathered at Beth Medrash Govoha (BMG) in Lakewood on Tuesday morning for the traditional chavrusa tumult, as talmidim prepared to begin their learning schedules for the new zman.
Footage shared by The Lakewood Scoop shows a bustling outdoor gathering, with large numbers of bochurim filling the area outside the yeshiva.
The chavrusa tumult is a familiar part of yeshiva life, as talmidim seek suitable learning partners with whom to study throughout the zman.
The scene at BMG offered a glimpse of the energy surrounding the start of a new period of Torah learning at one of the world's largest yeshivos.
