A stone-throwing attack in Turmus Ayya, in the Binyamin region of the West Bank, shattered a vehicle window during a public diplomacy tour involving Israeli politician Fleur Hassan-Nahoum and international influencers on October 19. The group was participating in a tour organized with the Regavim movement to present Israelโ€™s perspective to foreign visitors when the vehicle came under attack as it left the Palestinian village. Reports said stones and other objects were thrown at the vehicle, leaving a window smashed and at least one passenger lightly injured. Hassan-Nahoum, ranked fifth on the Amcha Yisrael party list and a former deputy mayor of Jerusalem, was among those involved in the tour. The incident has renewed attention to the security risks faced by Israeli public figures and visiting delegations traveling through parts of the West Bank, where tensions and confrontations remain a serious concern.

Hassan-Nahoum responded defiantly, declaring that what she described as Palestinian terrorism would not stop her from advocating for Israel internationally. The attack also raises questions about the safety of foreign influencers and other visitors participating in public diplomacy tours in politically sensitive areas. A police investigation was reportedly opened, with officers and Israeli military personnel gathering evidence and searching for those responsible. The incident prompted sharp rhetoric from commentators who used the phrase โ€œolive harvestโ€ sarcastically to criticize what they see as recurring violence and confrontations in the region during the agricultural season. That phrase reflects a political accusation, rather than an established explanation of the attack, and the circumstances should be distinguished from the broader debate over violence surrounding the West Bankโ€™s olive harvest. For Hassan-Nahoum, the message was clear: the attack would not deter her efforts to present Israelโ€™s case to international audiences.
