More than 1,000 bochurim across over 25 yeshivos are participating in Halikut, the annual Vaad Hatmimim program encouraging bochurim to master an entire chelek of Likkutei Sichos.
The program provides a structured framework for participants to deepen their learning of the Rebbe's Sichos, with the initiative extending beyond the walls of the yeshiva and, in some cases, influencing entire families.
In one example shared by Vaad Hatmimim, a bochur participating in Halikut began calling home to review a Sicha with his father. As the conversations continued, his father began opening the Likkutei Sichos himself so that he could learn along and participate in the discussions.
Another family described the effect their son's learning and enthusiasm had on his younger siblings when he returned home from yeshiva for an off-Shabbos, with the younger children observing his learning and connection to the Rebbe.
Halikut is one of several programs operated by Vaad Hatmimim for Lubavitcher bochurim. Another initiative, Hanachos, has seen nearly 1,000 bochurim devote more than 200,000 minutes to watching the Rebbe's farbrengens and explaining what they learned in their own words.
Vaad Hatmimim also organizes programs and farbrengens around significant dates in the Chabad calendar and provides support for talmidei hashluchim and other bochurim.
The organization says the programs are designed to strengthen participants in Torah learning, Chassidishkeit and hiskashrus, with the impact often extending from the individual bochur into his family and home.
