Unitree Robotics has unveiled the H2-X humanoid robot, branded as the "Kung Fu Legend Guardian" and pitched for both service tasks and protection duties. The company claims a maximum endurance of about 8 hours on a charge. A 60-second video shows the robot performing flips and nighttime acrobatics, landing powerful kicks in a junkyard, and taking part in a staged home-defense scene in which it confronts an intruder approaching a woman. Unitree's post asks people to use the robot "safely and in a friendly manner."
Unitree introduced the H2 in 2025 as a roughly 180 cm, 70 kg humanoid with 31 joints, and earlier reports gave its battery life as about three hours. That makes the 8-hour figure a claim worth checking, and it is unclear whether it comes from upgrades in the H2-X. The video is staged, and nothing in the announcement covers price, release date, or how the robot would decide when to use force. The safety reminder and the guardian branding pull in different directions, and a robot sold as a protector invites questions about who is responsible if something goes wrong. Those are the questions buyers and regulators are likely to ask.
