RINO Cassidy Runs to CNN Whining as Trump and RFK Jr. Protect Kids from Over-Vaccination

Sen. Bill Cassidy, the outgoing Louisiana Republican, raced to CNN this weekend to complain about President Trump and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reforming the childhood vaccine schedule. The physician-turned-politician blasted Trump’s recent executive order that reduces the number of recommended shots for all children and calls for separating the combined MMR vaccine into individual doses. Cassidy labeled the president’s comments “crazy stupid things” and claimed the changes would somehow harm families and drive down Trump’s poll numbers. In reality, the American people have already moved on from the old over-loaded schedule.

President Trump’s executive order establishes gold-standard recommendations focused on the most serious diseases while giving parents greater choice and flexibility. It aligns U.S. guidance more closely with peer nations that recommend far fewer doses than the previous U.S. schedule, which critics often described as totaling around 72 shots when counting combination products and annual boosters. By prioritizing parental authority and common-sense medicine, the administration is delivering on the Make America Healthy Again agenda that voters demanded. Cassidy’s sudden outrage rings hollow given that he previously voted to confirm RFK Jr. as HHS Secretary.

The timing of Cassidy’s CNN appearance only underscores how disconnected he has become. With his term ending in January after losing his primary, the senator is free to play doctor on national television without facing voters again. Meanwhile, the Trump administration continues advancing policies that put children’s long-term health and parental rights first. Supporters see the reforms as a long-overdue correction after years of one-size-fits-all mandates that left many parents feeling ignored.

MAHA is moving full steam ahead, and no amount of late-term complaining from establishment voices will reverse the direction. President Trump and Secretary Kennedy are delivering the transparency and choice American families have long requested. As Cassidy fades from the national stage, the focus remains squarely on protecting the next generation with smarter, more measured recommendations rather than the old volume-driven approach.
