Several Chareidi protesters were injured Thursday during clashes with Israeli police at a hafgana near the Geha Interchange outside Bnei Brak.
The demonstration, which disrupted traffic on Highway 4, was held in protest of the arrest of a yeshiva bochur over his failure to report for military service.
Police used stun grenades and other crowd-control measures to disperse demonstrators. According to Hebrew-language media reports, approximately 10 people received medical assistance, including protesters suffering from head injuries.
Footage circulating from the scene showed injured demonstrators receiving treatment amid the clashes.
Police said officers faced violence during the demonstration, including stone-throwing, while protesters and their supporters accused police of using excessive force.
The circumstances surrounding the reported injuries remain under scrutiny.
