WASHINGTON — In a decisive show of force against global narco-terror networks, U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed that two lethal kinetic strikes were carried out yesterday under the direct orders of President Donald J. Trump. The targets: two vessels operated by designated terrorist organizations engaged in narcotics trafficking through the Eastern Pacific. Both vessels were destroyed, with six narco-terrorists killed and no U.S. personnel harmed.

According to Secretary Hegseth, intelligence confirmed that the boats were carrying large quantities of illicit narcotics and were transiting along a well-known smuggling corridor used by cartel-linked militant groups. The operation was executed in international waters with precision-guided munitions, showcasing the unmatched reach and capability of the United States military.

“These cartel terrorists threaten our homeland and our people,” Hegseth stated. “Under President Trump’s leadership, we are protecting America by taking the fight directly to those who would poison our communities and destabilize our allies.”

This marks one of the most assertive counter-narcotics operations since the Trump administration reclassified major cartel networks as transnational terrorist organizations earlier this year. The policy shift has enabled the U.S. military to engage cartel assets overseas using direct kinetic action rather than relying solely on law enforcement coordination.

Analysts see this as a signal that the administration is expanding its counterterrorism doctrine to treat cartel-linked traffickers as national security threats, not merely criminal enterprises. The message is clear: any group funding terror or threatening U.S. citizens will be targeted — wherever they operate.

President Trump has repeatedly emphasized his commitment to securing America’s borders and combating the flow of fentanyl and other deadly drugs that fuel the nation’s addiction crisis. The latest strikes underline that commitment with unmistakable resolve, reminding adversaries worldwide that the United States will act decisively to protect its people, its borders, and its sovereignty.
