President Donald Trump expressed frustration over ongoing discussions with Democrats regarding the possibility of a government shutdown. Speaking about their demands, Trump criticized Democratic leaders for focusing on issues he believes are out of touch with the public’s concerns.

“They don’t care about crime. They want to keep men in women’s sports. They want all this stuff — they don’t change,” Trump said.

While he noted that he is open to meeting with Democrats, Trump suggested that such talks would likely be unproductive. “I’d love to meet with them, but I don’t think it’s going to have any impact,” he added.

The debate over government funding has raised tensions in Washington, with both parties accusing each other of failing to prioritize the needs of the American people. As the deadline looms, questions remain about whether a resolution can be reached or if the standoff will lead to another shutdown.
