The Israel Defense Forces reported that troops discovered a Hezbollah terror tunnel inside a civilian home in the Al-Mansouri area of southern Lebanon during a recent operation. Soldiers from the 55th Brigade, operating under the 91st Division in the security zone, dismantled more than 600 terrorist infrastructure sites and eight underground routes in coordination with the Yahalom Unit. They also located dozens of missile launchers that had been left behind before the ceasefire agreement took effect. Video footage released by the IDF shows troops navigating the dark, confined space of the tunnel with flashlights, highlighting wooden supports and structural elements beneath the residential building.

The brigade-level effort in Al-Mansouri aimed to prevent Hezbollah from reestablishing a presence in the area following the June 2026 ceasefire. The military stated that the operation forms part of ongoing activities to remove threats to Israeli civilians and forces while upholding the ceasefire terms. Similar efforts earlier in the year included the neutralization of a 200-meter tunnel near Majdal Zoun. The IDF emphasized that it will continue working to eliminate remaining infrastructure and stop any attempts by the group to rebuild capabilities in southern Lebanon.
